We’re hosting a bone marrow swab drive with NMDP, and all you have to do is stop by, say hi, and do a quick cheek swab (no needles, promise 😌)!!
Finding a bone marrow match is all about genetics, which means patients are most likely to match with someone who shares their ethnic background. Because the registry isn’t diverse enough, people from South Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and other underrepresented communities are less likely to find a match when they need one most, and that can be life-or-death.
This drive is about community care aka brought together by and for community members, both in real life and online. We’re teaming up with brands that care to keep the vibes warm with snacks and chai as we come together this winter to help create a meaingful impact 💛☕
