Oakland Beach Tennis Open 2026
Oakland Adult Recess presents the Oakland Beach Tennis Open π. A single-day, social, fun tournament for anyone aged 18 to 58. This is a doubles (2 vs 2) team tournament. If you don't have a teammate, we will pair you up with someone.
Beach Tennis is one of the hottest new sports in the world. Not only is it wickedly fun and easy to pick up, but it's also one of the healthiest sports you can play
BONUS: The Grand Lake Farmers Market is right there and will be active during the same time for your food & drink pleasures π©βπ
Never played before? Don't sweat; we host open play practice & training sessions (free, included in the price of tournament registration), so come to one or all of them to learn from an instructor and play with others in a fun social setting we call 'Adult Recess'. Each session is held in the same location as the tournament at Eastshore Park in Oakland, CA. Below are the practice sessions for Beach Tennis leading up to the tournament:
- Tuesday, August 4, 7 - 9 am or 6 - 8 pm
- Tuesday, August 11, 7 - 9 am or 6 - 8 pm
- Tuesday, August 18, 7 - 9 am or 6 - 8 pm
- Saturday, August 22, 9 am - 1 pm
- Tuesday, August 25, 7 - 9 am or 6 - 8 pm
- Saturday, August 29, 8 - 9:30 am (before the tournament starts)
