Tech Week is great, but how many panels on AI regulation can you attend? It’s time to get your hands dirty.
Welcome to the Vibe Debugging Party, an interactive, competitive-ish, "escape room" style event for engineers, SREs, developers, and anybody who enjoys solving puzzles under mild (and friendly!) pressure.
We’ve set up a complex, modern microservices application running on Kubernetes, with a top-tier observability stack - OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Jaeger, etc. pre-configured.
Your challenge: We are going to intentionally, and secretly, break it.
You’ll work in small teams (or solo!) to triage the incident, trace the issue through the logs and traces, perform a Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and propose a fix. No actual coding is required, but you'll need all your observability and debugging intuition.
Is this for me?
If you’ve ever found a bug in a distributed system, understood what a flame graph is, or enjoy the phrase "it’s always DNS," then yes. We will have scenarios for different experience levels.
What to expect:
- Infrastructure-as-a-Gift: A fully-provisioned, broken system for you to explore.
- Chaos Engineering: Unknown, injected failure scenarios.
- RCA Glory: Be the first to figure out "what actually happened."
- Community & Networking: Meet fellow engineers passionate about resilience and observability.
Vibes, Food, and Drinks: Because you can't debug on an empty stomach.
Bring your laptop, your curiosity, and your strongest debugging vibes.
