Hangout and meet Chicago based creatives, build connection, and friendships at our 23rd installment of the Filmmaker Hangout.
Walking the Line: Story vs. Sales explores the creative and ethical balancing act behind branded content and branded documentary storytelling. This panel brings together industry creatives to unpack how real stories are developed inside brand constraints, and how that process differs from traditional commercial work. From treating real subjects with care to navigating client expectations, approvals, and authenticity, the conversation dives into what it actually takes to make work that resonates without losing the truth at its core.
Panelists will include Vincent Geraghty EVP of Production and Hive Studios, Laughlin Constable, Tony Scott-Green film composer, and Jeff Katz, Head of Emerging Sales at Roku.
