A gentle, bookish picnic for therapists, mental health professionals and others who want real conversation, fresh air, and new colleagues. No required reading!
We’ll gather on the grass in Prospect Park with a mix of structured conversation and easy mingling. Some prompts will revolve around past reads, but no one is expected to be an expert – just curious, present, and open.
Expect:
💚Low‑pressure introductions and a short “what are you reading / what brings you here” circle
💚Chats about the book’s ideas, how they land in our work and inner lives, and what we’re currently wrestling with in practice
💚Plenty of time to relax, snack, and simply enjoy being around people who share your interests and in the field
Bring:
💚A blanket and anything you’d like to share (snacks, drinks, etc.)
💚 Your copy or notes on any book you want to share about if you have them
💚Comfortable clothes and an open heart
This is a non‑clinical space: part book club, part peer community, part picnic. All mental health modalities and levels of experience are welcome. If you’re new to the area, new to the field, or just craving more thoughtful connection, you belong here.
💚In case of rain or extreme weather, we’ll share an updated plan via the reminder message.
