Join us in art making and contributing to a community zine! Create index card art in response to four open calls. Accepted works will be compiled into a printed zine (mailed to you later). Cards don’t need to be completed on-site; stamped envelopes will be provided for mailing by a set deadline. Open Calls: - 1. Describe a favorite physical "flaw" you have that you adore and others have rejected you for. - 2. Write the dedication in a book and present you'd give to someone you personally know. - 3. Share a pattern you admire. It can be psychological, weather, fabric, traffic, societal, fads, etc. - 4. Build a fictional city, Wilcaville, together. Submit structures, streets, citizens, job ads, gossip, graffiti, etc. Folks can respond with visuals, writing, objects that can be adhered, or any combination thereof. Art supplies will be provided as well as index cards and collage materials to cut from. Please look at this webpage for further information on formatting and the open calls: https://www.eileenramos.com/cc/  Feel free to bring your own materials if you have an idea of what you want to submit. The Card Catalog of Potential will be available for attendees to look at. Pricing: Free --- Eileen Ramos (she/her) is a Filipina American writer, artist, performer, and experience designer. She loves curating packages of loosely connected books, zines, magazines, ephemera, objects, and art & writing she made inspired by the previous, for friends and the strangers who find them in public. She enjoys creating artworks from thrifted objects long out of wide use, like rolodexes, card catalog, PANTONE swatches, and an apothecary cabinet.
