Comment @ Golden City Council for Kristyn and Ezra
Hosted by

Please join Bike Walk Golden at the April 14, 2026 Golden City Council Meeting to advocate for Safer Streets in Golden.
On March 24, 2026 7-year-old Ezra Cardinali was struck in a crosswalk at 10th and Ford, breaking his arm and hand. You can financially support his recovery at www.gofundme.com/f/support-ezras-recovery-after-accident
The next morning, Kristyn Wade, a Golden community member, was struck in a crosswalk at Johnson St. and 6th Street. She remains in critical care. You can financially support her recovery at www.gofundme.com/f/support-kristyn-wades-recovery
These have been portrayed these as senseless "accidents", when, in reality, these are predictable and preventable outcomes on corridors and intersections that have been identified repeatedly as high-risk by both the City and community members.
If you cannot attend, please consider forwarding this invite or sending a public comment to councilcomments@cityofgolden.net by Sunday, April 12. See the section below for Bike Walk Golden's calls to action. If you’ve ever felt unsafe walking or biking in Golden, this is the moment to say something.
A few sentences is enough; where you feel unsafe in Golden, what you’ve experienced (near misses, aggressive driving, speeding), why this matters to you (your commute, your loved ones).
