Before Basecamp begins, join us for an intimate, one-hour group image critique with the theme of Scénography.
What is Scénography? In photography, scenography refers to the holistic design of a scene's visual and atmospheric environment. Instead of simply snapping a photo of an existing space, the photographer acts like a director or set designer, deliberately constructing, arranging, or altering every element - such as props, lighting, and background - to tell a specific narrative. This can be also used in natural environments - please interpret this as relevant as you can for your given work.
This workshop begins at 10:45am SHARP, please arrive by 10:45am at the latest.
This small-group workshop critique is designed for photographers seeking thoughtful, constructive feedback - whether you’re refining an existing portfolio or clarifying the direction of your work. We’ll have an opportunity to look at image selection, sequencing, visual cohesion, and how your work communicate mood, story, and intention.
Please bring images of your Scénography themed work and come ready to share, listen, and engage. This is a supportive, collaborative environment rooted in creativity and contribution.
Rules:
You must bring 1-3 images in one of two formats:
-A hard copy of your work
-Upload to the Link above by 12:00pm Friday, July 31st for us to make a slideshow.
Space is limited. To ensure every spot is filled, please keep your RSVP up to date so no one misses out on a spot. After the Image Critique, we encourage you to stay for our Bascamp Session!
