She immerses herself in both classical Japanese traditions and contemporary European techniques under Maya, Soa, and Nawagiri Shin. Her practice combines both classical Japanese-inspired kinbaku and contemporary European rope approaches. She has taught over 500 students and performed in more than 100 Shibari shows, including German rope education organization Karada House. JUTEJITSU https://www.instagram.com/jute.jitsu Fritz (JuteJitsu) is a Bay Area born and raised rope artist, and a Kinoko certified Ichinawa-kai instructor. He’s been tying in SF for over a decade and offers sessions and lessons at SFShibari Studio in the Mission. He’s performed and taught Kinbaku in SF, LA, Miami, and Tokyo. GLORY MOONFIRE https://www.instagram.com/glorymoonfire Glory (they/she) is a non-binary interdisciplinary performance artist, co-founder of Bound to Rise, and creator of Rope as Medicine, an embodied rope practice centering ritual and transformation. Their body of work investigates the longing for human intimacy alongside cultural, ancestral, and transpersonal themes in rope. They have created immersive performances and participatory experiences across the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Hawaiʻi. EMBER LUNA https://www.instagram.com/ember.entity Ember Luna (@ember.entity) is an interdisciplinary performance artist, musician, dancer, and erotic wellness practitioner based in Oakland, California. With nearly two decades of experience in guzheng and movement arts rooted in classical and folk Chinese dance, her practice has more recently expanded into Butoh, including intensive study with Gio Ju at the Himalaya Butoh School in Dharamsala, India. She has performed across the Bay Area, India, Puerto Rico, and Taiwan. As a rope bottom, Ember approaches being tied as an extension of their movement, ritual, and somatic practice, opening a space for deep listening, transformation, and embodied exploration. XUUN https://www.instagram.com/xuun.live Xuun is a Vietnamese-American intuitive sound alchemist. He offers unique live-looping sound healing journeys created live in the moment, tuning into the individual and collective energy of the audience. Channeling and co-creating music with the participants so that what is intuitively needed is allowed to emerge. Each journey may incorporate guzheng, flute, pan drum and other sounds inspired by his ancestors and guides. SEE YOU THERE!
