Dear Friends, Please join me for an intimate house concert and fundraiser to benefit an organization near and dear to my heart, Right 2 Dream Too (R2DTOO). R2DToo has provided a safe place to sleep and rest for Portland's unhoused community since 2011. This unique grassroots model is 100% percent volunteer-run. Since 2012, I’ve provided R2DToo with advice and representation. Initially, I threatened to sue Portland when the City was rejecting their rest area model. Today, Portland has embraced this model in their extensive community pod shelter communities, at an enormous expense. While the City has allowed R2DToo to remain on PBOT property near the MODA center, it refuses to contribute towards their utilities and other expenses. On Sunday, April 19th, I'll put on my host hat and invite you into my home to meet the inspiring leaders of Right 2 Dream Too, enjoy snacks and wine, and be entertained by Portland blues guitar legend Mary Flower, special musical guest, and Leon Cotter.
