Conversations Through Annotations x DC Zine Fest presents : Zine Swap ! This is a gathering for zine lovers & literary wanderers. 📍 This will take place outside at the Emory Park which is located across a shell gas station. Bring a blanket , a pillow , chair, anything that will allow you to get comfortable. what to expect: ✨ Bring a zine or two you’ve annotated OR wanting others to place notes in 📚 Exchange them with others, continuing the dialogue through your own marginalia. 🗣 Read, recommend, discuss, and revel in zines together 📓 Leave with a new-to-you zine filled with someone else’s thoughts, and maybe a friend’s mind in the margins. bring: – something to write with - a zine to give (with your handwritten notes) – a zine you’re okay receiving annotations in – a favorite lime or page from a zine or two to share aloud ⸻ This isn’t a critique circle—it’s a soft space for shared language, quiet insight, and collaborative curiosity. Whether you write or read, annotate in ink or just whisper in pages, you’re welcome here. 🧃 Potkuck style : bring your own snacks or some you would like to share.
