A HEALING FUNDRAISER FOR FAMILIES OF GAZA - Saturday, October 11th 12-6 PM
Come resensitize and rejuvenate at Jardín de Santa Cecilia this Saturday as we fundraise to support 38 families in Gaza.
In the spirit of healing, we offer the community: hypnotherapy and Thai body work sessions/workshops courtesy of Get Right Wellness; music divestment, immune health, and writing workshops; Sufi nature meditations; an educational garden walkthrough; an oil painting table; and free food and juice.
Towards our $76,000 goal, we wanted to strike a balance between accessibility, accountability around resources, and financial solidarity from the heart. We are thus charging sliding scale entry for the first iteration of this event.
If you are experiencing poverty, the suggested sliding scale is $0-25. If you have disposable income, the suggested sliding scale is $50-100. If you experience financial comfort, the suggested sliding scale is $200+. Please donate what you can via the Givebutter (only chose cashapp to convey the sliding scale); we’ll ask for proof of donation or testified inability to pay at entry.
Typical hour-long healing sessions go for $100+. We have organized a variety of programming for 5 hours, in an attempt to realize a mutuality between donors and beneficiaries. So there is great value to be had in donating the minimum sliding scale suggestion, but generosity is the greater point! We hope for generosity to be the stimulus behind your attendance and the undercurrent of the event’s atmosphere.
100% of your contributions will go directly toward alleviating the hardship of Palestinians surviving genocide, who need transportation from Gaza City, tents, rent, essential items, food, medical care, and educational closure. Towards our $76,000 goal we are also selling handmade herbal medicine, art, and candles, and holding an art auction.
See pictures below for the sliding scale guide, the day’s schedule, and the art auction items!
