What is The Art Release Project?
I started The Art Release Project with the goal of creating a safe space for us as a community to nurture our creativity and find solace in the transformative power of art. It’s a day of healing with outdoor painting/craft sessions in the park, as well as exciting future meetups at various spaces—both in person and virtually.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my life than creating and healing with friends, family and community! You don’t have to be an Artist. Just be open to creating together and having a good time!
Hosted by yours truly, this special day will blend nature, art, and creativity in a serene setting.
We’ll enjoy activities like creating a Group Mixed-Media Collages, Guided Canvas Painting, Flower Arranging, Glass Painting. We’ll also have the option of free painting. We’ll share stories, create special memory boxes, and even have a poetry/story circle to connect through words. Let’s celebrate, express ourselves, and create beautiful memories through art and community!
$7 donations will help cover supplies for the event, and you’re welcome to contribute even if you can’t make it! Your support means a lot as we create this special art experience together.
My actual birthday is September 30th. This birthday is especially meaningful to me, as there was a time I didn’t think I’d make it past the challenges I was facing. Celebrating this milestone surrounded by art, community, and growth will be a true gift.
