(Bring Your Own Weed Wacker) Putting this out here as far in advance as I can! If we get closer and Sundays work better just let me know in the RSVP. August and September is for last minute stiltgrass suppression. I will be weed whacking stiltgrass to the dirt, hand pulling, using Ben’s backpack torch, any reasonable way of cutting back on understory annuals will be a huge help. This is last chance suppression, earlier in the winter and summer Ben and I will look to suppress with chemicals using best management practices for understory annuals and perennials alike. But I hope to keep these events low stakes and ideally with a food component.
