Hi friends,
Lake Washington Blvd will be closed to motorized vehicles this weekend so we're going to take advantage! We'll start with coffee and breakfast at Cycle & Coffee and do a one way route along the Burke, over the 520 lid, through the Arboretum, and along Lake Washington Blvd to Seward Park! It'll be a ~15 mile route one way, but you're welcome to peel off at any time to hop on the Link or a bus to wherever your journey is taking you after the ride.
It looks like it'll be a cloudy/misty day but if it happens to be clear we can end with a picnic at the park. We'll have some rest stops, and will probably stop at Leschi Market for snacks/picnic fare near the end. If it's super rainy we can end the ride a little early at Bardner Gardens Park where hopefully the covered picnic area will be available for us!
Basic info:
We'll start with coffee and breakfast at Cycle & Coffee at 10am and depart on the ride at about 10:30.
It’s a chill pace, no-drop group ride with stops, total distance of about 15 miles. It’s Seattle, so there will be some hills!
Please ride a functional bike, and we enocurage you to bring your own spare tube in the case of a flat tire. We can help with minor mechanical issues along the way, but these precautions help ensure a good experience for the whole group!
This ride is at a relaxed pace, but we ask that riders be comfortable riding 15 miles in the city with hills. We use a buddy system to keep track of each other, and will be making stops and sticking together as a group.
We'll be checking our registration list at the start of the ride this time, so please share the invite link with everyone in your party so they can RSVP and agree to the Waiver & Release: https://www.cycleandcoffee.com/pages/waiver-and-release
Hope to see you there!!
