All proceeds donated to Palestinian Children's Relief Fund
Nearly a month into the siege on Gaza, Israeli armed forces are showing no signs of stopping.
Now more than ever, it is crucial for donations and relief to reach Gaza. It's crucial for us to engage with the Palestinian cause in whatever way we can.
In partnership with the Palestinian Film Institute, we are pleased to announce a second night of films made in Gaza, by Gazans. Join us for a night dedicated to the hopes and dreams of the Palestinian people. A night where we can appreciate the beauty and resilience of the people fighting there. A reminder not of what we're fighting against, but what we're fighting for.
Short film: Condom Lead (2013) - A dream of the hope for intimacy and love in a brutal, divisive world.
Feature Film: To My Father (2006) - “Those were days when people prettier, when eyes were filled with colour, even in black and white. What has changed - the camera, or the eye?" asks Abdel Salam Shehadah's poetic homage to the studio photographers of the 1950's - 70's. Set partly in a refugee camp in Rafah, the film looks back at fifty years of Palestinian and Arab history, told through the photographs, reportage and the voices of these photographers today.
