Friend of the club Leo is screening "Lawrence of Arabia", one of the most sweeping and epic of all movies, at his place in Crown Heights. He has enough space for 20 people, so it's party time. SYNOPSIS: The year is 1916. Due to his knowledge of the native Bedouin tribes, British Lieutenant T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) is sent to Arabia to find Prince Faisal (Alec Guinness) and serve as a liaison between the Arabs and the British in their fight against the Turks. With the aid of native Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif), Lawrence rebels against the orders of his superior officer and strikes out on a daring camel journey across the harsh desert to attack a well-guarded Turkish port. "Doors" at 6, film starts at 7, BYOB. We will leave Leo's around 11 to find greener pastures -- probably some kind of bar. There are a bunch of good ones in the area, but eventually I'd like to end up at Kissa Kissa, which is probably the best one period. New members of the club, or those who've only been to one or two events, are all welcome. It would be nice to see familiar faces as well. See you all soon!
