The Last Bohemians is a short documentary series about eight older artists who live at NYC’s historic Chelsea Hotel, capturing a vanishing era of the city and the artists who have managed to survive and create in the hotel for decades. The series celebrates these residents through their work and their personal stories, amid New York’s changing cultural landscape and rising cost of living.
Directed and edited by artist Timothy Goodman, the film was selected at the Newport Beach Film Festival, and won Best Docuseries at the Big Apple Film Festival.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with renowned writer and "Design Matters" host Debbie Millman, along with several of the Chelsea residents who are featured in the series. Remember, an artist shouldn't have to die in order for their story to be important.
