Black & Brown in the IE and Beyond (BBIEB) is a group art show that highlights historical and contemporary issues that Brown and Black communities face in the Inland Empire.

BBIEB starts with a conceptual process where artists and community members take part in a series of free workshops conducted by local historians, academics, and community members. These workshops will cover historical issues such as education, redlining, segregation, language, migration, etc., and their impact on affected communities. Upon completion, artists will create pieces that address and highlight issues discussed during the workshops.

Anthony Valencia will be  addressing the intersection of  environmental justice on Black and Brown communities in the Inland Empire and beyond. The session will be followed by an art project facilitated by local artists.
