Parking in Fuengirola is difficult at this time of year. The Carvajal train station is a great alternative. If you drive, please choose your lot in advance and have a backup.

The Canadian cultural Association has settled on 7:00 PM at Las Tablas Burger in Fuengirola for our Canada Day get-together. This year, we’ve chosen to host the event on the western coast of Málaga, since more than 70 percent of our participants live on this side. It is also the only restaurant that was able to close its doors for us, turn on the air conditioning, and reserve the entire space, which is not easy to arrange at this time of year. The owner is genuinely happy to welcome our group of Canadians, and with the air conditioning on, it should be a much more comfortable evening than last year’s event. Please note, Fuengirola is also accessible by train. If you do not eat meat, do not worry, the restaurant also has vegetarian options available. If you would like to arrive a bit earlier, feel free to come from 6 PM for a drink at the bar next door “Ohana.” Please RSVP with the guests you are bringing. We are coordinating directly with the owner and need accurate numbers. Please only RSVP if you are sure you can attend, and let us know if anything changes. We are also looking for a few volunteers: someone to share a few Canada jokes, someone willing to lead “O Canada” (with everyone joining in), and someone interested in MCing part of the evening.
