Art of Love is hosting its second event, this time as a combination celebration of Juneteenth and Pride! We had a great event last time, and with returners from last event alongside newcomers, this one is sure to be even better!
This event is freeeeeeee! There is a recommended donation so we can help pay the performers and artists, but RSVP is $0 to attend! There will be a limited amount of beers and wines provided but it is a BYOB event!
We will go on a musical journey through the night, centering hip-hop and rap to start the night and moving through music centering the intersection of black culture and queerness before ending the night in the queer electronic world.
Tofu Jack will return with a new and improved GDJ 2000, an upgrade from his last Guitar DJ Controller he displayed at the last event. Make sure to arrive on time to see this incredible tool in action with his hip hop and rap focused set! Check out the 2 controllers here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DJcuC7ahrnD/?igsh=NDh2Ynp1YWNhM2d5
And check out the 1000 in action to see what you’re in for: https://www.instagram.com/p/DIyj84bu7B0/?img_index=2&igsh=NjcwdTZ0MGpvZGd0
Brad Walrond will grace us with a beautiful spoken word performance backed by instrumentals that will highlight and center black queer experience. You can check out his book Everywhere Alien and you can check out an album featuring select poems from the book here on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/1cvA7h6OX2HN8AskrtYVwV?si=3QIIa6hjTzuocrPqNK-Y4g
Ian Blow (meee) will also be DJing at a certain point in the night if you can catch me.
Tofu Jack will be sharing and selling some of his 1 of 1 dope as fuck clothing at the event! Get a taste here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_139nbO6NO/?igsh=MXcyc29tN3UxM3p6NA==
There are more artists who will be announced soon! Excited to see you all there!
