The Arc of the Evening
We move together through three stages — Noticing, Curiosity, and Circling.
We open with Noticing: a simple relational exercise that drops us out of our heads and into the present moment — into our bodies, our senses, what's actually here in our connections.
From there we move into Curiosity: a practice of bringing our connections to life by exploring what is truly alive with each other.
And we then bask in the deepest layer, Circling — sitting together in real, spoken connection. Circling is the culminating practice of Authentic Relating: it slows us down enough to notice our own relational, emotional, and mental blind spots, and to be truly seen by the people in the circle with us. It's one of the most direct paths we know to feeling more engaged, more known, and more alive in your own life.
Our People
Our participants are all ages, mostly professionals who are motivated to find more satisfying, deeper interactions with others in a world that leaves us feeling isolated. Expect a wide range of high-functioning, unconventional personalities — lots of therapists, artists, RTP tech workers, psychonauts, and people exploring the limits of their consciousness and demanding more depth of connection in their relationships.
Your Hosts
A lot of amazing people are putting this event together! Benji, Sarah Stack, Ryo, Sheel, KL, and the entire Moon House & AuthenticNC leadership team make this happen. We rotate leadership each time — this time, it's John and Dawn.
John and Dawn are two of the community's original Circling hosts — many of AuthenticNC's longtime members got their first taste of Circling in their living room years ago. Now they're bringing that same practice to Moon House!

What is Authentic Relating?
Based on the idea of living in the present moment, cultivating self love, and expressing your truths in connection, our Authentic Relating events involve interactive social games & interpersonal meditation practices.
Authentic Relating events are immersive small-group events which mix emotional intelligence (EQ), relational intelligence (RQ) and meditation practices. It can make a big difference in everything from your relationships, to your connection with family members, to dealing with difficult people at work!
Interpersonal meditations are sometimes fun, sometimes intense, sometimes beautiful, sometimes sad. We practice being with each other, and being seen, in the full range of our humanity. We take risks and learn how to set boundaries. We learn how to play, and how to care.
Let's explore the realms of intimacy & authenticity together!
