Non Films presents the Brooklyn Premiere of Born in the Hallway, a new documentary by Pierre Guillet featuring artist Michael Cuomo.
The evening begins with a screening of the short film SoulTron the Traveler, followed by the Brooklyn premiere of Born in the Hallway. Through intimate observation, the film follows Cuomo as he moves between drawing, music, teaching, family, and the streets, where discarded objects become part of his ever-evolving artistic world. The film also turns its gaze toward the filmmaking process itself, capturing the conversations and moments between Michael and the crew as they navigate how to document an artist whose creative impulses blur the boundaries between art and everyday life.
There will be a Q&A after the film moderated by Brian Ratigan of Non Films.
