◕‿↼This is not an invitation to a New Year’s Eve party. This is not even really an invitation to a New Year’s Eve Afters. This is a more confusing and esoteric third thing.
You are invited to join us at the bar after your evening. By all means, please attend all of your regular events and partyhop like the animals you are. Show up to this after (or stop by in between the party and the afters, more realistically) have a drink, and tell us about how your night went. Bring your friends. Hell, bring the entire party with you. Or just bring yourself.
We want to know what happened, who you saw, what you did, and how it ties together plot points or starts you off on a new arc for the new year.
We want to hear about your evening, and what you want to see more of. We also want your goss, tea, conspiracy theories about interpersonal relationships, esoteric machinations that you are putting out into the collective unconscious, schizophrenic synchronicities, reflections on the past year and how you ended up having the evening you had, and really honest to god, the details of how your evening went. This is a save point, a debrief, a little check-in.
Why? Why not. We’re all telling stories. Come add yours to the mix and let’s see how they all fit together. Have a drink in the strange little pocket of comfy friendly reality we’re creating for an hour or two and warm your soul before you step back out into the freezing cold.
