An Immersive Documentary Experience + Q&A
We are honored to present a private screening of Fillos do Vento: A Rapa in New York City, following its World Premiere and nomination at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Cannes Immersive Competition in 2025. After its acclaimed debut in Cannes, the project continued its journey with a stunning 270° projection-mapped installation at the Immersive Room of the Cartuja Center in Seville, and now arrives in New York City for an intimate screening presented in collaboration with our immersive partner, Shift Midtown, followed by a conversation with the producers and the creative team.
The Consulate of Spain in NYC has generously contributed to making this cultural presentation possible.

Screening time: 7:30 PM, followed by a conversation with the director and producers
About the Experience:
Filhos do Vento: A Rapa – The Immersive Experience is an unprecedented cinematic journey into the heart of one
of Spain’s oldest traditions, Rapa das Bestas.This immersive experience places audiences at the center of the action,
where humans and wild horses collide in a ritual of strength and survival.
Using cutting-edge 270-degree projection mapping, 8K visuals, ambisonic sound, and interactive storytell-
ing, this multisensory experience dissolves the boundary between observer and participant. Audiences don’t just watch the Rapa—they live it. Feel the pounding hooves, hear the breath of the horses, and step into the misty Galician landscape. This is not just a film but a fully immersive ritual where tradition, nature, and instinct come alive.
The result is an experience that feels at once primal, poetic, and deeply cinematic, blending ethnographic tradition with cutting-edge immersive storytelling.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the Director, creative team, and producers, offering an inside look at:
• The seven-year creative process behind the project
• The design of narrative storytelling through video mapping and immersive media
• Future plans for the project, including upcoming international premieres (one of them at a major U.S. festival soon to be announced)
