Our beloved storyteller is dead, but modern financial instruments might help us uncover the truth and get rid of the demon. We’re playing Blood on the Clocktower with prediction markets! Normal prediction markets would incentivize the evil players to either win the game but lose currency betting on false beliefs, or win currency by revealing information but lose the game. We fixed that! The fixes allow prediction markets to be in a game of deception what they are in the real world: a way to talk about and communicate beliefs and information. Now, the evil players have to try to use them like words or body language: the way they would if they were townsfolk, except they might want to move everyone in a wrong direction (without becoming suspicious). It’s good if it’s not your first time playing blood on the clocktower or using prediction markets.
