I've been requesting submissions to the Soup Zine, but in an amorphous way. As a remedy, I created artwork that combines a menagerie of interesting topics, novel premises, and curious juxtapositions that could be instances of something you would find in the Zine. This is a private, invite-only invitation to commune and examine this work. If you are receiving this, it is for one of two reasons: either I want to hear your thoughts on my art and think you contain depth that will meaningfully add to the event, OR because I would be honored if you would contribute to the Zine. I will not tell you which group of people is which. Many people have indicated that they'd love to contribute when I've casually asked, but more seriously, people have asked me for guidance on what they should submit, or for details in general. I don't think I'm capable of using words to show you the feeling of what I'm looking for, I can only show you. My intention for this container is to create a space for you to interact with something strange (be that art, or others in the room) and leave feeling inspired, hopeful, curious, and having evoked other strong emotions within you that are then channelled into your submission
