✨ Havdalah + Parshat Ki Tisa Exploration ✨
As we close out Shabbat and step into a new week, we gather to explore the themes rippling through Parshat Ki Tisa.
The portion in a sentence: Moses is on Sinai receiving the Torah, the people panic in his absence and build the Golden Calf, Moses shatters the tablets, intercedes for the people, and descends with his face radiating light.
Questions to sit with together:
∙ When God feels distant or formless, what “golden calves” do we create as substitutes?
∙ Aaron went along with the crowd. When have you chosen peace over integrity?
∙ Moses advocated fiercely for people who had just fallen. Who in your life needs that kind of love right now?
∙ The people witnessed miracles and still lost faith 40 days later. What’s the difference between spiritual experience and spiritual embodiment?
🪑Please bring a cushion to sit on.
🕯️Please bring your own Havdallah set so we can fill the room with as much sweetness and light from Shabbat as possible.
🍃Please invite your non-Jewish friends-so we can share our lineages with the recognition of unity, and oneness of Gd.
🎸Feel free to bring instruments for musical jamming goodness.
🚪Doors will open at 7:00 we’ll begin the circle at 7:30.
