THE RIDICULOUS T-SHIRT SOCIAL Boston’s most important cultural event has arrived. Wear the funniest, strangest, most confusing, or most aggressively ridiculous T-shirt you own. Thrift-store disaster? Weird Facebook ad purchase? Outdated corporate merch? A shirt that requires a ten-minute explanation? Perfect. We’ll hang out in the park, meet new people, admire terrible fashion decisions, take photos, and crown the most ridiculous shirts of the day. What to Bring Bring a blanket or portable chair, water, snacks, sunscreen, and friends. Feel free to bring cards, lawn games, or anything else that works in a public park. This is a casual social gathering, so arrive whenever you can and stay as long as you like. Shirt Guidelines Funny, absurd, ugly, confusing, vintage, ironic, and cursed shirts are strongly encouraged. Shirts that are genuinely hateful, threatening, discriminatory, or intended to harass another attendee are not welcome. The goal is to make people laugh—not make people feel unsafe. Event Rules Be respectful of other attendees, nearby residents, park staff, and members of the public. No harassment, fighting, unwanted touching, intimidation, vandalism, or disruptive behavior. Respect people’s boundaries. Ask before photographing someone individually or posting identifiable photos of them. Clean up everything you bring and leave the park cleaner than you found it. Keep music and activities at a reasonable volume and follow all posted park rules and applicable city laws. Do not bring anything illegal, dangerous, or prohibited in the park. Everyone is responsible for their own belongings, food, transportation, conduct, and personal safety. Anyone behaving aggressively or making others uncomfortable may be asked to leave the gathering. Public Event Disclaimer This is an informal, independently organized social gathering in a public park. It is not sponsored, supervised, or endorsed by the City of Cambridge, the City of Somerville, the park department, Partiful, or any nearby university or business. The park will remain open to the general public during the event. Attendance does not guarantee reserved seating, exclusive use of the space, food, drinks, security, or supervision. By attending, you acknowledge that outdoor and public events involve ordinary risks, including weather, uneven ground, sports or recreational activity, crowds, lost property, and interactions with members of the public. Attend and participate at your own discretion. Photos and Video Group photos and casual event footage may be taken and shared to promote future gatherings. Let the organizer or photographer know if you do not want to appear in posted photos, and we will make a reasonable effort to accommodate you. Weather The event may be postponed, relocated, or canceled because of rain, extreme heat, poor air quality, park conditions, or other circumstances. Check Partiful before leaving for the latest update. Most Important Rule Absolutely no normal shirts. Come dressed like you lost a bet.
