This course will cover much of what you need to know to start performing your own vehicle maintenance and repair. We will cover considerations for DIY vehicle maintenance, an overview of easily (and less easily!) repairable/replaceable components, diagnostics, required/suggested tools, safety best practices, real-life examples, and more. This portion will take place in a classroom setting. Following the Vehicle Maintenance Basics course, we'll venture outside for a Hands-On Oil Change Clinic. Learn how to check your oil, select the correct weight and quantity of oil for your vehicle, select the correct oil filter, options for raising your vehicle, safely draining and collecting your oil, replacing your filter, adding new oil, staying clean, used oil disposal, and overall best practices. You'll get a chance to use tools and work through an oil change as part of a small group. Indoor & outdoor class, masks required.
