In celebration of the new cycle of spring and renewal, come join us for a sacred music workshop and participatory singing circle. This is a space where everyone can share their unique voice through healing music in a supportive and accepting environment. The CANTEMOS gathering will be facilitated by Arcana de Amor, a collective of song carriers offering intentional harmonious spaces for sharing medicine music. Through this ancient practice, we will immerse ourselves in the enchanting melodies, songs, chants, prayers, and sacred incantations from different lineages and spiritual traditions around the world. This is an invitation to feel a deep heart resonance and to invoke a connection to ourselves and to the Sacred in each of us. In this way, we welcome the flowering of community through sacred music. You are welcome to come for any part of the evening or to stay for the entire program. In the earlier part of the evening, we’ll be guided to open our voices, drop deep into inner stillness, and focus on getting in touch with your authentic expression, improvisation and play. In the second part after the break, we’ll shift into a powerful collective vibration, where our voices resonate ecstatically with joy and unity. Throughout this immersive experience, we all will become part of the music. You’ll have an opportunity to sing together, to learn new songs, and share your sacred song individually. You will also be able to join in if you bring an acoustic instrument you play. All skill levels are welcome. No previous experience is necessary. You and your friends are all invited! SCHEDULE 4:00–4:30pm: Doors open and welcome ---------------------------------------------------------- Part 1: Exploration ---------------------------------------------------------- 4:30pm-5:00pm: Opening and setting intentions 5:00–6:30pm: Voice activation workshop, improvisation and play ---------------------------------------------------------- Part 2: Celebration ---------------------------------------------------------- 6:30-7:30pm: Break and Refreshments 7:30-9:30pm: Singing circle and individual musical shares 9:30–10:00pm: Closing circle WHAT TO BRING • A water bottle; • Anything that supports you comfortably sitting on the floor. The space does not offer any cushions or back supports. • A music instrument if you play one – whether it's a guitar or ukulele, a harmonium or shruti box, a drum or a simple shaker/maracá.
