to my fellow job hunters: we're heading south this week to explore some bay area history. this trail offers a cool contrast between the city sprawl and pristine, untouched hills.
it's a solid loop through old mining territory with a mix of shaded woods and wide-open ridgelines.
📍 location: almaden quicksilver county park (mcabee entrance)
📍 4.5mi / 728ft gain
⏳ estimated time: 2–2.5 hr
🌲 scenery: we'll pass the old senador mine ruins and guadalupe reservoir while taking in massive views of the south bay.
🧴 essentials: the hills can be exposed so bring sun protection and water.
🐕 pups: on-leash dogs are welcome. they've got to be friendly with people and other dogs.
🏃♀️ pace check: please be confident in your ability to maintain a steady group tempo.
catch y'all at the trail! 🕵️♂️⛰️🥾
