Born in Taiwan and raised in Dallas, he discovered photography during his years at UT Austin before building his career across New York and Los Angeles. Moderating the conversation is Deborah Cannon, Visuals Editor for NPR affiliate KUT, KUTX, and The Texas Standard. A former staff photojournalist at the Austin American-Statesman for 18 years, Cannon covered presidential campaigns, two Tour de France victories, and major national news events, earning honors from the Online News Association, the Society of Newspaper Design, and the National Press Photographers Association. The talk is followed by an audience Q&A and a post-talk mixer, so you can keep the conversation going with Peter and fellow guests. Whether you shoot for a living, want to, or just love the craft, this is a rare chance to hear how one of America's top editorial photographers actually built his career.
