Beaks and Talons Program
Join Queer Birders of Cincinnati and RAPTOR Inc. for a Beaks and Talons Program on Sunday, July 5th from 10-11 a.m. at Pattison Park. We will be meeting at the shelter near the playground (photo attached) 🦉
RAPTOR Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to conservation raptor rehabilitation, education, research and community engagement. The Beaks and Talons program will include a 45 minute presentation featuring 3 live avian ambassadors. Up close and personal, you can see and learn about the adaptations which make birds of prey supreme hunters of the sky. The program will describe raptor diets, habitats, nesting habits and their role in the food web, as well as other interesting topics. Touchable artifacts (such as wings, feet, pellets, etc.) and recorded vocalizations will be available. No touching of birds is permitted 🪶
PLEASE READ: Unfortunately, we have to cap registration at 80 people for this event due to the shelter's capacity. Registration is required and is first come, first serve; the link can be found in our bio. You may join the waitlist and if a spot opens up, you will be notified. Tickets are *required* for this event and prices start out at $5 with pay what you can options for those who need financial assistance. For clarification, your registration and Venmo to @ashncon is considered your ticket. Once we reach our goal for the program fee, any additional ticket purchases will be donated to RAPTOR Inc.
