🧿 Hello Dear Witchwell Friends 🧿 Your messages, your quiet check-ins over the winter… they wrapped around me in ways I don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to express. To feel held in your hearts while I was away was a kind of medicine. Coming back feels tender and electric all at once. I’m so ready to gather again to celebrate a metaphorical Spring, and a the real one too. On March 22, I’m reigniting our Social Circle with Witchy tendencies. I’m especially partner with Lauren Parker: local author, poet, and a true practitioner of everyday magic. Over the winter, for me and for years for Lauren, we journeyed into the world of sigils and sigil magic. What I quickly realized is that Lauren carries a depth of experience and embodied knowledge that goes far beyond study, she lives this work. She has been crafting and working with sigils for years, and she’s genuinely excited to share not only the philosophy behind them, but the how. She’ll guide us in understanding what sigils are, how to craft our own from our deepest intentions, and how to weave them into daily life in practical, grounded ways. Not as something abstract or mystical-for-mystical’s-sake, but as quiet anchors. Living symbols. Personal spells we carry into the world. Expect cozy conversation. A gentle, sigil-inspired practice. Space to reflect on what you’re calling in this spring. Time to reconnect in the backyard among the herbs, to sit shoulder to shoulder again, to laugh, to soften, to remember that we belong to one another. This is a free gathering. Seasonal drinks will be served. I’ve missed you more than I can say. With love, Claire 🧬 About sigils 🧬 A sigil is a symbol used in magic, spiritual practices, and occultism to represent a specific intention, desire, or entity, aiding in manifesting goals by focusing energy. Derived from the Latin sigillum ("seal"), they are designed to bypass the conscious mind and influence the subconscious. Common methods include condensing written intentions into unique, abstract, or geometric designs that are then "charged" and activated through rituals. 🧿 About Lauren Parker 🧿 Lauren Parker is a writer and visual artist in Oakland, California. She has written for Toast, Strange Horizons, The Racket, Catapult, and Autostraddle. A third-degree practitioner with the Temple of Witchcraft with over ten years of magical practice, she specializes in money magic, folk witchcraft, ritual bonework, and divination tools like Ouija boards and scrying mirrors.
