Please join us for our 4th Annual Latte Art Throwdown! This year, we will be donating the entry fees to Positive Images, a local nonprofit organization that supports LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults through mentorship, mental health resources, and community programs. We also encourage donations if you are not taking part in the competition as well. We would love for you to join us at our Healdsburg location to pour alongside our baristas in a little friendly competition! This is one of our favorite nights of the year where we can bring together coffee professionals and enthusiasts. Whether you’ve been competing for years or have never entered a throwdown before, you’re more than welcome to join us. It’s low-pressure, a lot of fun, and a great way to connect with other people in the coffee community. If you are not a latte artist, please join us anyway! We have snacks and drinks waiting, plus we are also going to be holding mini contests that anyone can take part in on the side. Here is how the throwdown will work: There are five rounds total. Everyone will compete against one person in the first round and each round following will narrow down contestants until the remaining two baristas compete in the last round. We will choose the size for each round, but each round will be the barista's choice on design. We will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winner consisting of products we love and support! Rules for this evening: 1. You have 1 chance to pour each round. You can steam milk as many times as you need to, but once you start pouring the drink (milk touching espresso), you have to present that drink on the judging table. 2. When you have finished pouring your drink, you will walk it over to the judging table and place it on either “A” or “B” spots, it does not matter which one you choose. 3. You may only use milk and espresso that we provide, you may not bring your own 4. You may use whichever pitcher you prefer. You may split pitchers if you would like to 5. Judges can’t watch the drinks being put out and they have 1 minute to come to an agreement on the winning cup. Looking forward to see you there!
