What is Web5?
To us, Web5 is the open and decentralized mesh internet built on the Bitcoin network, where users own all their hardware, software, and data, and there are no third party user agreements.
Web5 was originally announced by Jack Dorsey in 2022. In 2024, after completing the essential open source protocols, he moved on to other projects. Our mission at Lab 484 is to see Web5 through to completion for the benefit of all humanity.
