Aurora Borealis Viewing Tonight!

Hosted by
˘◡˘
Come join us to (attempt to) witness the stunningly beautiful aurora borealis (a.k.a. Northern Lights) at a special, hand-picked viewing spot in Concord, MA, as well as connect with other astronomy stargazers!! We will have snacks and beverages, and socialize while we wait with bated breath, to see if tonight is the night all factors align with the weather, solar winds, and Earth’s dynamically changing magnetosphere to allow the aurora borealis to form at our latitude. The viewing spot is next to a horse farm; with a large field, giving us an unobstructed view to the northern night sky — perfect for viewing auroras. We previously had incredible aurora views at this location (see photo above, from the Nov 11, 2025 event). This may be the last opportunity to see the aurora borealis here in Massachusetts before a 10-year drought as we leave the peak of the Sun’s eleven-year sunspot cycle. Location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/42%C2%B026'21.5%22N+71%C2%B022'49.1%22W/data=!3m1!1e3 Lat/Lng Coords: 42.4393, -71.3803 Parking on the side of the road. We will occupy the thin, public area of Williams Road, between the street and the fence (see posted photo).
