Join Seattle Neighborhood Greenways to celebrate another year of fabulous grassroots community power! Saturday, July 13, 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm Seward Park Picnic Shelter 1 (next to the playground) - - - EVENT DESCRIPTION: Drop in to catch up with old friends and neighbors or meet and greet with new folks. Learn about local advocacy and grab a free Tshirt. We'll provide some food for the grill, bring potluck snacks or sides to contribute if you can. All are welcome — you don't have to had volunteered with us before to come celebrate! - - - GETTING THERE: Seward Park is located at 5900 Lake Washington Blvd. S, Seattle, WA 98118. We will be on the south side of the park at Picnic Shelter 1, behind the playground. The area is wheelchair accessible. BY BIKE: The Lake Washington Boulevard open street that weekend will make a delightful ride from points north. -- Group bike ride rom Capitol Hill with Central Seattle Greenways: Meet at 1:45 pm at Spring Street Mini-park, ride out at 2:00 pm. Stops along the way at Garfield Playfield and Mt Baker Beach to gather more people to join the ride. Contact Brandon at 610-908-9924 with questions. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47487303 -- Group bike ride from Ballard with Ballard-Fremont Greenways: Meet at 1:30 pm at the Ballard Post Office (5706 17th Ave NW) or at 1:45 pm at the Dinosaurs in Fremont (Canal St and Phinney). BY TRANSIT: The park is a short (steep) walk from the 50 bus. Stay tuned for a group bike ride from light rail. BY CAR: The park has free car parking. Note that Lake Washington Boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic that weekend, and access the park from Seward Park Ave S. - - - ABOUT US: Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is a volunteer-powered, grassroots organization and community.
