About In Good Company
In Good Company is a community-driven initiative bringing people together to experience the arts as produced by local Boston talent. With a focus on those who may not know where to start or who have felt like arts spaces are not "for them," we show up to events together, take the pressure of participating in "high-brow" culture off, and choose creative experiences that stimulate conversation and opportunities for community building.
Our debut gathering this past January brought around two dozen members to Company One Theatre's production of THE GREAT PRIVATION. For our February gathering, we’ll be attending the opening celebration of a new exhibit at the ICA:
Say It Loud: AAMARP, 1977 to Now
This free (but ticketed so RSVP!) event celebrates the legacy and ongoing impact of Boston’s African American Master Artists-in-Residence Program (AAMARP) at Northeastern University. By joining us, you'll be getting a first look at this powerful exhibit before its official opening to the public on February 12th.
Post-Show Social at Lucky’s Lounge
After the ICA exhibit, we would love to invite anyone interested to continue their evening with us at Lucky’s Lounge, a cozy cocktail lounge about an 8-minute walk from the museum. We’ll gather a group there for a relaxed spot to socialize, connect, and chat about the art we just experienced together. Totally optional, but highly encouraged.
Whether you’re a regular museum-goer or this is your first time stepping into a space like the ICA, you’re in good company!
Again, it’s a free event, but ADVANCE TICKETS ARE REQUIRED so please make sure you RSVP ASAP to get on our list (first-come, first-served)!
