A National Forest Adventure Pass is mandatory to park within the Angeles Forest. This pass covers one vehicle and all passengers. The National Forest Adventure Passes are $5 and available for purchase at REI, Big 5, and/or near the trailhead at Adams Pack Station pending availability. Please contact individual establishments for pass availability. Adventure Pass must be displayed on dashboard. Parking is available, but limited at the trail head parking lot and/or the road leading up to the trailhead lot. Carpooling is HIGHLY suggested!
National Forest Adventure Pass Information
Recommended Attire: Shoes with good grip that you’ll feel comfortable engaging water with during small water crossings and waterfall. Additional shoes/socks are suggested. Pants or shorts with consideration of sun protection/poison vegetation. Long or short sleeve lightweight top. Optional accessories such as a hat, bandana, and/or sunglasses. A backpack is ideal for carrying items ensuring your hands are free.
Recommended Nutrition: A minimum of 1 LITER of water and up to 3 LITERS of water. Electrolytes in addition to minimum water recommendation such as powdered form, pickles, coconut water, & watermelon juice. Your favorite snacks to stay fueled throughout the hike! Protein, carbs, & healthy fats. Think protein bars, dried/fresh fruit, trail mix, jerky, granola, and similar temperature friendly options. We will settle in at the waterfall area for 45 minutes, so please feel free to bring a lunch of your choosing if it feels right!

After The Storm: Hike with Mo (they/them) & Syn (she/her) at Sturtevant Falls Trail! ______________________________ Flow of Hike 🥾🌿 7:30am-7:45am Arrive at Sturtevant Falls Trailhead 7:45am-8:15am Introductions + Stretching 8:15am-9:15am Hiking to Waterfall (1.7 mi) 9:15am-10:00am Waterfall + Area Exploration 10:00am-11:00am Hiking to Trailhead (1.7 mi) 11:00am-11:30am Aftercare + Farewell 11:30am-12:30pm Adams Pack Station (Optional) ______________________________ What to Expect 🥾 • Beginner friendly hike • 3.4 miles on an out & back trail • 679 ft of elevation gain during decent into + ascent from main trail • 3-4 hour commitment in total • A low of 75 degrees to a high of 95 degrees • Bathrooms located at trailhead ______________________________ Caution ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ • The heat can be exhausting & harsh on the skin, so prepare with adequate hydration & sun protection! As well as hydrating on the hike, self care the day prior is equally as essential! •There is limited service in the area especially the 15 minutes preceding the trailhead as you enter Angeles Forest , so please download driving directions beforehand as well as the trail directions via the All Trails link! Our meeting time is 7:30am & will leave promptly at 8:15am, but we ask that for proper preparation you arrive on time. ______________________________ Reading is what!? Fundamental!
