WHAT IS A SALON NIGHT? Gallery ATARAH's salon nights revive the tradition of intimate artistic gatherings that flourished in 18th and 19th century European salons—spaces where artists, writers, and thinkers came together to share work, exchange ideas, and build community outside formal institutions. In a contemporary art world that can feel increasingly transactional, we're returning to this foundational idea: art thrives in community, and artists deserve spaces where their work can be seen, discussed, and experienced without the pressure of traditional gallery politics. Our salon nights showcase emerging and established artists in an intimate setting, blending contemporary work with carefully selected vintage and antique pieces to create dialogue across time.
