Memorial Bike Ride for Dan

˘▿˘Dan was an integral member of the New Haven community and we are devastated he has moved on from this world too early.
Cycling was one of Dan's many hobbies and talents - join us as we celebrate Dan's life together with a commemorative ride finishing with a memorial gathering on the top of East Rock.
*Feel free to meet us at the top of East Rock if the bike ride part is not for you!*
This will be a safe space to share stories, memories, and mourn together. Please share this invite to anyone who was part of Dan's community.
5PM - gather at the base of East Rock in the "Wilbur Cross High School Rear Parking Lot" on Orange St (across from the Canoe Launch), introduce ride leaders
5:05PM - community bike ride (conversational recovery pace) including Dan's favorite & frequent spots
6PM - convene at the top of East Rock, open time for sharing how Dan impacted our lives
6:35PM - sunset photo to share with Dan's family
6:40PM - chalk a message to Dan, hang out, descend safely in groups

Bike Safety: helmet (required), front white light, rear red light, water bottle, and don't forget to check your tire pressure and brakes beforehand!
East Rock Summit: The road is open to cars on Sundays for those who are unable to hike/bike up. Cyclists - please watch for cars and descend in groups!
Note: If you're driving to the bike ride, please do not park in the high school parking lot! Please park on Orange St.
