Protest – Sign Making Night + Community Call
In partnership with South Bay Takes a Stand, we’re turning the gallery into a sign-making studio.
Join us for a hands-on night of creating bold, clever, unapologetic protest signs in the lead-up to Protest – The Art of Activism, opening March 21.
🎨 Supplies provided — poster board, paints, glitter, brushes, all the things.
💵 Suggested donation: $20
✊ All skill levels welcome. Message > perfection.
Bring your ideas. Bring your friends. Bring your fire.
If you’d like your sign to be included in the exhibition, we’ll gladly borrow it and hang it from the ceiling as part of the installation. You can pick it up anytime you need it for a march — including the No Kings March on March 28 — and return it afterward if you’d like it back in the show.
Already made a sign? Especially a clever one? Bring it by during this event and we’ll include it.
Inclusion in the gallery is free for local community members (you do not need to be a professional artist). Signs will not be for sale — this is about visibility, solidarity, and collective voice.
And of course, everyone is invited to the exhibition opening on March 21.
