This is our moment.
After months of advocacy, organizing, collaboration, and conversations with city leaders, we have the chance to push non-discrimination protections for polyamorous people and diverse families across the finish line.
On Wednesday, September 9, the Seattle City Council is bringing these protections to a vote.
This is a huge moment for our community, an opportunity to make our mark on the history of Seattle and help build a future where polyamorous people and diverse families can live openly and authentically without fear of discrimination.
Now we need YOU to show up, speak out, and help us make history.
📣 SHOW UP AT SEATTLE CITY HALL
Join SCFRE at Seattle City Hall on Wednesday, September 9 and be prepared to give public comment in support of these protections.
You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need a perfectly polished speech. We need real people telling real stories.
Tell City Council what being polyamorous or part of a diverse family means to you. Share why you want to live in a city where you don’t have to hide the people you love. Tell them what it would mean to feel safe being open about your relationships and family—in your workplace, in your housing, and in your everyday life.
Your story matters. Your presence matters.
We’ve worked hard to get this far. Now let’s fill City Hall, make our voices heard, and push this across the finish line.
Show up. Speak out. Let’s make history together. ❤️
