ReEnvisioning Resistance
Join us for a dynamic workshop designed to explore impactful ways to resist the erosion of rights and liberties in the U.S. under rising authoritarianism. While street protests remain vital, this session will focus on brainstorming accessible alternatives and uncovering the unique gifts and strengths of participants to amplify their resistance efforts. Through lively facilitated group discussions and small breakout sessions, attendees will collaborate to identify creative strategies that go beyond traditional activism, pulling the best from our brainstorm and introducing allies who might just help it manifest. Core to the premise of the event is that effective action requires meeting others face to face, rather than just in virtual spaces.
This directed 90-minute workshop will take place on **Friday, April 25th, at 7 PM** at ** The Brooklyn Lair **. Please note that food and pets are not permitted. After the session, there will be a break, and those interested can continue the conversation informally. Whether you're new to activism or a seasoned advocate, this workshop offers a space to connect, reflect, and take meaningful action. Let’s craft a little corner of movement that’s as diverse and clever as the people in the room.
$10 donation requested, no one turned away for lack of funds.
This event is facilitated by Paxus Calta - funologist, organizer and communard.
