Takoma Family Biking is headed to the 2026 DC Family Bike Fest! Join us for an all-ages and all-abilities group ride from the Laurel Avenue Streatery, heading to Alethia Tanner Park in the District via the Metropolitan Branch Trail. We'll gather starting 9:45 am and launch at 10 am. The ride is about 5 miles, tending downhill. Return to Takoma via Metrorail if you wish. DC Family Bike Fest is for kids on bikes, families who bike, and folks who are bike curious. Connect with others, meet local shops and orgs, check out lots of different bikes and setups, and have fun together! Featuring neighborhood bike rides, Kids Bike Parade, library storytime, learn to ride workshop, demos, test rides, gear swap, BIG raffle prizes, food trucks and lots more.
