Third Sphere's portfolio is mostly hardware. We're putting it in one room so
you can actually touch it.
Part of SF Tech Week.
There's a stage too.
At 2pm Nancy Pfund of DBL Partners walks through the investments that built
the firm: Tesla, SolarCity, SpaceX, NexTracker.
At 2:45pm Ramez Naam, who called the solar price collapse in Scientific
American back in 2011, will speak on where the curves go next.
At 3:25 Shaun on Speedstrapping, and at 4pm the bar opens for the book signing.
Robot.com is bringing bots, and they will be working the event rather than
sitting on a plinth.
Future Motion is setting up a short test track so you can ride a Onewheel or
the new Antic bike in the warehouse.
SwellCycle printed a giant, rideable snail out of recycled and bio-plastic.
Surfboards too.
Sention has a Discovery unit on the floor - a non-contact ultrasound that sees
inside a sealed battery cell without opening it, so manufacturers catch bad
cells before they ship. Tabletop, and you can watch it scan.
Focal is running an electric heating system that customizes to user
preferences - the system they just installed in Hook Fish and other
restaurants in the bay will be on display.
Wonderfil is bringing their refill infrastructure that Whole Foods has started
using. It looks and works like a gas pump for dispensing soaps and detergents.
Return to Vendor turns end-of-life fishing nets into nylon that stretches
without any spandex - which makes a whole garment 100% recyclable for the
first time. Check out their pellets and finished pieces at the demo.
More demos are still being confirmed.
Come if you build things, buy things, fund things, or just want to see what this stuff looks like outside a demo video. Meet the teams behind the tech, explore hands-on and founder-led demos, and connect with a community of climate builders and backers reshaping how we move, build, and live for a climate-resilient future. You don't have to work in climate to benefit from these tech innovations.
Hosted by Third Sphere. Over 100 investments, usually the first check, plus connections to 12,000+ investors, credit providers and builders.
Registration is required and subject to approval. Neighborhood is FiDi / Mid-Market. We'll send exact arrival details to approved guests.
This event is a part of #SFTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
