Join us for a new play reading and talkback for [BANNED] Women of the Book (Club)! SYNOPSIS: An online book club consisting of an Ethiopian Jewish Woman, a Black American Christian, and an Afro-Palestinian Muslim gives each member a safe space to explore her relationships to current socio-political events, history, Abrahamic and non-Abrahamic traditions, and each other. Incorporating a mix of poetry, video, and movement in a somewhat surreal landscape, this play bridges different communities by their similarities and gives each woman a unique Black feminist lens by which she approaches the culture of her birth.
