It's been a while… but we're back.
After a long hibernation, the Aware Project is reawakening — returning to where it all began: bringing people together in real life for curiosity, conversation, connection, and the exploration of psychedelics and consciousness.
The Aware Project was founded in 2014 by Ashley Booth, whose gatherings shaped and touched so many in this community, myself included. After a few dormant years, Ashley has passed the torch, and I'll be stepping in as the new leader of the LA chapter. 🕊️
I'm honored beyond words to carry this forward, and to open our first gathering with the person who started it all:
**Ashley Booth** will be joining us as our inaugural speaker — the perfect way to honor where this community came from as we step into what's next.
Ashley has since become a therapist, worked with MAPS on the MDMA trials, trained psychedelic-assisted therapists, and become a leading voice at the intersection of IFS therapy and psychedelics — the topic of her talk. She'll share her illustrated picture book for adults on IFS and lead an interactive workshop on applying its principles to psychedelic prep and integration.
Guzel Gjenasaj will be your host. Since January she has been co-hosting the Santa Monica Psychedelic Society, and now stewards the Aware Project — bringing years of experience hosting gatherings like Cross Pollinate, fire circles, sweatlodge’s, dance parties, and so much more. She's worked with sacred sacraments since 2011 and has a deep spiritual practice rooted in earth-based ways.
Come for a night of community — new faces and old friends. 🌎
